At MRW Farms, we believe in a natural and sustainable approach to ranching. Our cattle are raised on open pastures, and we use only the highest quality feed and supplements. We take great care in every step of the process.

Our Products
At MRW Farms, we raise high quality AHCA registered Highland cattle. We believe in Quality over Quantity and have a small herd of select cattle which allows us to give each one personal attention. Each calf will be comfortable with people and halter trained.
Family Heritage

Ryan grew up in the sandhills of Nebraska which instilled a deep connection with the cattle industry and land. Much of his work ethic and tie to family came from growing up on his family Ranch. He returned to his roots later in life to take a position managing a large farming operation. His love of the land kept him in Agriculture working for John Deere in various roles and continues with them today.
Our Heritage
Melanie grew up in a military home traveling every few years but the consistent event she looked forward to was the return home every summer to her Grandmother's Cattle Farm and wheat fields in Kansas and then Greenhouses and Corn fields at her Father's family farms in Missouri. There she spent her time riding horses, collecting eggs and watching the Cattle graze in the pasture. Her career has been in Software Engineering which complemented her love of Nature and Family well in allowing her to work remote and maximize her time with her children.
Sustainable Ranching Practices
We both have a deep love of the outdoors, wildlife and Nature. Therefore, we believe in taking care of the land for future generations. That's why we use sustainable ranching practices to ensure that our land and animals thrive and live in harmony with the Natural surroundings in Colorado. We often see Antelope and Elk in the distance as our Cattle graze at the Mountain property during the summer.
Meet Our Team
Ryan and Melanie met later in life with the love of the outdoors a binding factor. Our two families merged seamlessly and our eight children all play a part in the the success of our ranch. We look forward to our grandchildren learning about farm life by our side. We also recruit help from several local youth who are given the opportunity to experience farm life near the city at our Nunn location. Passing on benefits of returning to a life living off the land has been the most fulfilling aspect of starting our own herd.
